Privacy Policy
1Overview
This Privacy Policy explains what information Swlef collects when you use the Swlef iOS application, how it is used and the choices you have. We collect only what is needed to run a group chat service, and we do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
2Information you give us
Account details: your email address, your password (stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider) and the display name you choose. Content: the messages you post in rooms, the rooms you join, the users you block, and any reports or contact messages you send us.
3Information collected automatically
Basic technical data needed to deliver the service, such as timestamps of messages and standard server logs (including IP address) generated by our infrastructure provider. We do not use analytics or advertising SDKs and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
4How we use information
To create and secure your account; to deliver messages to members of the rooms you join; to show your display name next to your messages; to filter objectionable content and act on reports; to respond to your contact requests; and to keep the service safe and working.
5Who can see your content
Messages you post are visible to every member of that room. Your display name and avatar are visible to other signed-in users. Your email address is never shown to other users.
6Service providers
We use Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore and Cloud Functions) to store data and run the service. Data is stored in Google Cloud data centres located in the European Union. Firebase processes data on our behalf under its own terms and privacy commitments.
7Retention
Your data is kept while your account exists. When you delete your account from Settings, your profile, messages, memberships and block list are permanently deleted from our systems. Reports you filed are kept for moderation purposes but no longer linked to you. Backups are purged on a rolling basis.
8Your rights and choices
You can edit your display name at any time, block users, delete individual messages you posted, log out, and delete your account entirely from Settings. Depending on where you live you may also have rights to access, correct, port or restrict processing of your data. Contact us to exercise them.
9Children
Swlef is not directed at children and is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under that age. If you believe a minor is using the App, contact us and we will remove the account.
10Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our infrastructure provider. Access to data is restricted by security rules so that users can only read rooms they have joined and can only change their own data.
11Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the App.
